The seminars that I attended (Across town in Brixton) were wonderful but why did I have to travel 5 miles and spend £7 to get there? Should have been closer to the main venue. No offence to Brixton BC. Worship on Friday was viewed from the balcony - mistake! Accoustics and general audibility were poor. Worship on both nights (I left on Sunday afternoon) was downbeat and contemplative when maybe we should have some more uplifting stuff. The valedictory service for M's en route overseas deserved more time as did the handshake for newly accredited ministers. Tony Campolo was wonderful, challenging and faithful and the highlight of the weekend for me. Sunday morning was dour. Cant see what the Twittergys and hashtags et al added - technology has its place, after all its 2012, but at the Baptist Assembly where it excluded a large proportion of the attendees? I think not. Whilsdt I appreciate why it was held in London it was VERY Londoncentric and we have enough of that with the Olympics don't we?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
